Lindsborg’s Midsummer Festival Saturday, June 14

LINDSBORG, Kan. — Enjoy Midsummer in Lindsborg by exploring the downtown daytime festivities and then the evening performances at Heritage Square across from the Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum.

Daytime activities will include demonstrators, vendors, and entertainers on Main Street, including pop-up performances from Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers, Folkdanslag, and Scandinavian Folk Dancers of Kansas City. Main Street will also include the barrel train, bloomkrons, and food demonstrations in the Lindsborg Senior Center, 116 S. Main Street.

Food vendors include the Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers’ Dala Van selling Viking-on-a-Stick, more food trucks, plus Lindsborg’s local restaurants.

Craft demonstrations will also populate businesses downtown including the Red Barn Studio Museum.

Beginning at 10:00am, the Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers will be hosting a Swedish Bake Sale at The Courtyard, 125 N. Main Street. The bake sale will end at 1:00pm or when items sell out.

Beginning at 4:00pm, entertainment will move to Heritage Square with performances from Front Porch Pickers, Broadway RFD, and more! Kubb Championship rounds play at approximately 5:15pm with the raising of the Midsummer Pole and traditional dancing following.

The merrymaking concludes with a free swim, complements of the City of Lindsborg, 8:30 -10:30pm.
