Let’s Talk About Ukraine: A Perspective of the Ukraine/Russian Conflict in Light of Historical Backround

McPHERSON, Kan. — On Sunday, April 21, Professor Matthew D. Cotton will be speaking on contemporary Ukraine at First Mennonite Church, 1161 E Avenue A, McPherson. 

Professor Cotton received a master’s degree from the University of Kansas in Russian, Eastern European, and Eurasian studies. He has spent time in both Russia and Ukraine, first visiting the region in 2010 before living in Kiev in the summer of 2012 and Volgograd in the summer of 2018. 

He has been a professor and staff member at McPherson College while completing work on his dissertation.
