A new outdoor recreation destination in Allen County is getting ready to open.
The Lehigh Portland State Park visitor center opens to the public at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, with camping available beginning August 13th.
Some construction work, including a new boat ramp, will continue after it opens.
The park provides spots for swimming, kayaking, and fishing.
