LARNED, Kan. – Christina D. Warren, 66 of Larned, appeared in the custody of the Pawnee County Sheriff Tuesday afternoon for felony sentencing before Pawnee County District Judge Bruce Gatterman.
Warren was arrested on June 25, 2026, following the execution of a search warrant by the Pawnee County Sheriff at her Larned residence. At the time of her arrest, Warren was on Community Corrections probation supervision for 2024 and 2025 convictions of Violations of the Kansas Offender Registration Act as a drug offender. The defendant entered a No Contest plea on August 20, 2026, to Possession of Methamphetamine.
Following hearing statements of the parties, Judge Gatterman sentenced Warren to 20 months with the Kansas Department of Correction (KDOC) for the possession charge to be served consecutive to the 40 months she was ordered to serve for her probation violations. The defendant remains in the custody of the Pawnee County Sheriff pending her delivery to KDOC to begin serving her 60 month cumulative sentence.
In other matters before the Pawnee County District Court Tuesday afternoon, Larry M. Clawson, Jr., 44 of Larned, made his First Appearance on thirty-two (32) counts of Aggravated Violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.
The Complaint alleges that Clawson is subject to the Kansas Offender Registration Act as a sex offender due to convictions for a sexual offenses in 2001 and 2011.
Under Kansas law, registered sex offenders are required to report in person every three months to the registering law enforcement agency in the county in which they reside, maintain employment or attend school. As part of the quarterly registration, offenders are required to disclose to law enforcement, among other things, any and all e-mail addresses; online identities used by the offender on the internet; information relating to membership in any and all personal web pages or online social networks; and internet screen names.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department. Clawson is alleged to have failed to disclose an active social media account open since 2020 and an active email address open since 2016. Clawson was arrested on September 11, 2026, without incident.
Violations become aggravated offenses if the violation continues for more than 180 consecutive days. Each 180 day period of non-disclosure constitutes a separate and distinct crime.
At the First Appearance, Magistrate Judge Kenneth Schmidt advised the defendant of his charges, the possible penalties if convicted, and his constitutional rights, including his right to counsel. If convicted, under the Kansas Sentencing Guidelines the defendant faces a presumptive prison term between 55 months and 247 months in the custody of the Department of Corrections depending on his criminal history.
A Preliminary Hearing has been scheduled for September 28, 2026. The defendant remains in the custody of the Pawnee County Sheriff with bond set at $75,000.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
