On Dec. 31, 2024, at 4:00 a.m., Kansas Highway Patrol worked one non-DUI related fatal crash at the K42 mile post 38 westbound (K42 Half a mile east of Rago). The driver was identified as 35-year-old Jared Zachary Adcock of Kingman. Adcock was driving westbound on K42 and according to a report from the KHP, drove off the road for an unknown reason, and entering the north ditch. The vehicle overturned and caught fire.
