The Kansas Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate an officer involved shooting Thursday night in Bourbon County involving Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies.
The KBI said deputies were pursuing a stolen semi-truck fleeing north from Pittsburg, reported to be driving into oncoming traffic and eluding law enforcement.
Preliminary information indicated as the chase entered Bourbon County Two deputies dscharged their firearms, striking both the semi an it’s driver before it went out of control at US 569 and Indian Road south of Fort Scott.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital is is reported in stable condition. No officers were injured in the chase.
