HUTCHINSON, Kan. — On Nov. 14 at 5:00 p.m. the Kansas State Fair board is to meet for the purpose of hearing proposals about potential future promotions of the facility. Time will also be allotted for public comments regarding the future of the facility. The meeting will be held at the Encampment Building in Dillon Hall on the Kansas State Fairgrounds.
In November of 2022, the Kansas State Fair Board voted to demolish the historic facility without public input or notice. This meeting will be the first opportunity the public has been scheduled to speak before the board regarding the future of the facility.
We are encouraging the community to attend this pivotal meeting as it will be a crucial decision point for the health and viability of the fairgrounds and community.
