The number of homes sold during July through Prairie Land Realtors’ Mid-Kansas Multiple Listing Service was 147, which is down two percent from July 2024. Total sales volume for the region was $31 million, up from the prior year. The median sales price for the region at $190,000 was up 15.2 percent over 2024, with homes typically bringing list price and on the market for 12 days.
During July, 121 contracts were written, down 16 from 2024, with 162 contracts pending as of the end of the month. As of July 31, there were 273 active listings in the MLS region, or a 2.2 month inventory.
In Reno County, 71 homes sold, unchanged from a year ago, with the median sales prices of $180,000 which is down 18 percent. Homes selling in Reno County were typically on the market for seven days. 99 listings were active at month’s end, or a 1.6 month supply.
In the McPherson Area, which also includes MLS sales in Marion County, 42 homes sold, unchanged from July, 2024, with the median sales price of $243,000 up 35.1 percent. Homes were on the market for an average ten days, and the McPherson Area had 67 active listings at the end of July, a two-month-supply.
In the Pratt area, nine homes sold through the MLS, with the $104,00 median sale price down 20.6 percent, with median days on the market at 25. That area had 28 active listings at the end of the month, or a 3.2 month supply.
