Get ready for the 22nd Annual Fight Against Cancer Golf Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Great Life Golf & Fitness in Salina, beginning at noon.

Organizer of the event Rob VanDeCreek shared that over the past 21 years, the tournament has raised over $69,000 to individuals and non-profit organizations that fight cancer.

This year’s recipients will be Nancy Boyer and Cindi Casanova, who are both battling cancer diagnoses in Solomon, Kansas.

Entry fees for the tournament will be $80/person. That includes, greens fee, cart fee, entry into all of the hole prizes, range balls, and COZY burgers.

If you would like to be a sponsor for the event, you can purchase hole flags for $125, tee signs for $50, or if you want to sponsor the entire hole, the cost of that is just $150.

There was a record number of 27 teams last year.

“I am optimistic that we could have the same this year, so signing up in advance is a big help,” VanDeCreek said.

VanDeCreek thanked everyone who has helped keep the event going either by playing, sponsoring or volunteering their time.
