SHARE NOW

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Boys & Girls Clubs of Hutchinson welcomes Jerry Jacobs, a cornerback for the Detroit Lions, back to where his NFL journey began, Gowan’s Stadium.

Jacobs’ path to the NFL started in a place where many promising football careers end: in junior college. Hutchinson Community College gave Jacobs his opportunity to start and show that he was capable of playing at a high level. Jacobs’ journey is one of facing difficult odds and persevering. He credits his mother with instilling in him the importance of giving back to the community.

Our organization is honored to collaborate with the YMCA of Hutchinson and Blue Dragon Football to host a skills and drills combine for 1st-8th grade. Hosted by Jacobs, HCC Blue Dragon Football and Salthawk Football at Gowan’s stadium on March 11, 2023.
