HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Hutchinson Firefighters responded to the 100 block of E Bigger St. late Wednesday for the report of a structure fire. The first arriving crews encountered a single-story home with heavy fire showing from the front.
An interior search turned up with no occupants. Crews were then able to stop the spread of the fire before it moved through the entire attic space.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
