HUTCHINSON, Kan. — On 9/10/2024 at 6:25 p.m. Hutchinson Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a fire at a concession trailer in the south corridor of the Kansas State Fairgrounds. They arrived on scene at 6:28 p.m. Crews arrived to find a concession trailer that appeared to have had a small explosion. Two people were transported to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center with injuries. Several others sustained minor injuries and refused treatment and transport. The HFD Fire Marshal in collaboration with State Fire Marshals are currently investigating the cause of the incident. More details will be released in the coming days.
