HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Hutchinson Fire Department responded to 210 Hyde Park at 9:33 a.m. Wednesday for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival units found heavy smoke pushing out of the eaves of a two-story home.
Crews conducted an interior attack and found high heat and zero visibility on the second floor. During a search of the home, no occupants were found.
Moderate damage to the structure was sustained. The fire was located in a second-story bedroom and extended into the attic space. Fire investigators are currently working to determine a cause.
