Under 30 days until the Heat Hits Downtown Hutch!
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Get your taste buds ready—Hutchinson’s Downtown Chili & Soup Fest is returning on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Main Street between 3rd Avenue & Avenue C. With just under 30 days to go, it’s time to dust off your favorite recipes because it’s officially chili and soup season in Hutch!
Team Registration Now Open
Think your chili or soup is the best in town? Enter a team today! Businesses, clubs, work groups, families, and friends are all welcome to compete. Teams are provided a space downtown and asked to cook 12 gallons of chili or soup (many teams make more to keep up with demand). The deadline to register is October 22, 2025. Prizes & Awards
Prizes & AwardsWinners will be announced at Salt City Brewery from 2:30–3:00 PM on event day. Cash prizes and trophies are up for grabs, including:
- 1st Place Chili: $250 + Traveling Trophy
- 1st Place Soup: $250 + Traveling Trophy
- 2nd Place Chili & Soup: $150 each
- 3rd Place Chili & Soup: $75 each

Attendees will enjoy tasting a wide variety of chili and soups prepared by local teams and then cast their votes for their favorites. Beyond the food, the event is a celebration of community spirit, creativity, and the joy of fall.
