HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Art Center is set to host a retrospective on the art and life of Jeanette Mull.
The longtime Hutchinson artist has honed her craft over the years by studying under accomplished artists, attending a multitude of art classes and workshops, as well as participating as a dedicated Friday Morning Artist at the Hutchinson Art Center. Her work has been shown locally and regionally and is in private and corporate collections throughout the Midwest and beyond.
Mull passed away at age 86 in January. This exhibition of her vibrant still-life paintings, atmospheric landscapes, and lively portraits is not to be missed.
“She had a real knack for playing with color,” Hutchinson Art Center Executive Director Jacelyn Chambers said. “This will be a beautiful showcase of work.”
The exhibition will be on display from March 31st through May 5th, with the opening reception taking place on Friday, March 31st from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and Jeanette Mull’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 1st from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Many of the pieces in the exhibit will be priced to sell.
“It’s an opportunity to enjoy the life of a local creative and maybe have a little piece of that history for yourself,” Chambers said.
