HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Board of Trustees of Hutchinson Community College has named three finalists for the College president’s position as they search for a replacement for retiring President Carter File.
The finalists are Dr. Joel Michaelis, Mr. Greg Nichols and Dr. Tricia Paramore. The finalists were selected from a pool of more than 40 applicants that was narrowed to a semi-finalist group by the Board’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
“Selecting the next president is one of the Board’s most important responsibilities, and reaching this significant step was only possible thanks to the commitment and hard work of members of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee who have shared their perspectives so far”, said Board Chair Terry Bisbee.
Starting Friday, April 5, finalists will visit the Hutchinson campus to meet with students, faculty, staff and the public in a series of open forums.
“Now is the time for the community to meet these finalists and provide feedback to the Board of Trustees,” Bisbee continued. “We hope students, faculty, staff and community members take the opportunity to engage with the finalists at these upcoming forums.”

- Dr. Joel Michaelis, who currently serves as the Vice President of Instruction at Southeast Community College
