HUTCHINSON, Kan. (HutchCC.edu) – The Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees opened its February meeting by continuing its tradition of welcoming student groups when they were introduced to members of the volleyball and soccer teams.
The Board also approved the hiring of Dr. Tricia Paramore as its Vice President of Academic Affairs. Dr. Paramore has been with HutchCC for 25 years, having most recently served as the Department Chair for Natural Science, Social Science and Mathematics. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Dr. Cindy Hoss.
In addition, the Board received a report on its Higher Learning Commission accreditation efforts and took action on tuition and fees for the 2023-24 academic year. Each is scheduled to increase by $2.00 per credit hour for a total of $124 per credit hour. Reno County students will continue to receive a $10 per credit hour reduction.
The next meeting of the board will be Thursday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Shears Technology Center Justice Theater. The public is invited to attend. Board meeting agendas and information can be found at www.hutchcc.edu/boardmeetings.
