Hutch Fest Taking Place this Friday and Saturday (Oct. 4 & 5) in Downtown Hutch

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutch Rec, in a partnership with the Downtown Hutch Rod Run, is excited to release the line-up of activities and events taking place during Hutch Fest this weekend in Downtown Hutchinson, October 4 & 5.

Hutch Fest featured events include:

  • Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run: Oct. 4 & 5 in Downtown Hutchinson

The 17th annual Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run & Classic Car Show starts at noon on Friday, Oct. 4 and continues through the evening of Oct. 5. This two-day event features hot rods, classic and antique cars, trucks, and motorcycles, as well as a Show & Shine, Main Street Cruise, vendor demonstrations, food trucks, and more.   • Hutch Brewfest, presented by The Clayworks at Disability Supports:  Oct. 5 from 2-5 p.m. along East 1st Avenue

The Hutch Rec Foundation is once again hosting the 4th annual Hutch Brewfest: A Craft Beer Festival, presented by The Clayworks at Disability Supports. This event will take place in front of Hutch Rec Downtown along East 1st Avenue. Proceeds from the event benefit the Hutch Rec Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support Hutch Rec by advocating for program improvements and recreational opportunities through charitable giving. Hutch Brewfest will feature 13 craft breweries from across the state. It also includes the return of the popular Home Brewer’s Competition, sponsored by Allen Samuels, and featuring 10 home brewers from the area.   • Hutch Fest Kids Zone, presented by First National Bank: Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m. and Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. near DCI Park, 2nd & Main

Families of all ages are invited to 2nd & Main and the DCI Park area for the Hutch Fest Kids Zone, presented by First National Bank. The Kids Zone area will include inflatables, Touch-a-Truck, treat trucks, community booths and activities, live entertainment, and more.

  • Salt City 5K/10K Races: Oct. 5 at 8 a.m. in front of Salt City Brewing

Take the urban challenge of a road race at the Salt City 5K/10K races, presented by Salt City Brewing. The event starts in front of the brewery at 514 N. Main with the 10K race starting at 8 a.m., 5K race starting at 8:15 a.m.

Participants are officially chip-timed and receive a medal and shirt. All ages and both runners and walkers are welcome. Additional race details and registration can be found on the Hutch Fest web page.
