IOLA, Kan. (Aug. 28, 2025) — Allen Community College welcomed Hope Unlimited to campus this week with an informational table set up in the student union. The outreach effort is designed to connect ACC students with vital support services offered by the Iola-based nonprofit.
Hope Unlimited provides comprehensive assistance to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking across southeast Kansas, including Allen County. Their services include a 24-hour emergency shelter, crisis intervention, trauma-informed counseling, safety planning, court advocacy, and hospital response. The organization also operates a Child Exchange and Parenting Center, offering a safe space for supervised visitation and parental exchanges.
By bringing their resources directly to campus, Hope Unlimited aims to raise awareness among students about the support available to them or someone they know. Trained advocates are on hand to answer questions, distribute informational materials, and offer guidance on accessing services confidentially and safely.
Hope Unlimited’s table was available on Wednesday and Thursday during peak student hours. For more information, students can visit hope-unlimited.org or call their 24-hour hotline at (620) 365-7566.
