RENO COUNTY, Kan. — A hay bale fire that started Friday night at Turon Feedlot is expected to continue burning for several days. Reno County Fire Administrator Travis Vogt said the fire was reported about 9:30 PM and crews from Districts 4, 6, and 7 responded. About 2,100 bales of hay were on fire when crews arrived. Feedlot staff were able to move unburned hay and will continue to monitor the pile. The fire itself was contained to the area where it started.
