GREAT BEND, Kan. — A Great Bend Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting was held for new Chamber Member, New Horizon Services, Inc., on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at their newly expanded location at 1909 Lakin Avenue in Great Bend.
After five years of serving individuals and families in Salina, New Horizon Services has expanded into Barton County to meet the growing need for high quality, person centered supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Great Bend location offers both residential and day services, with immediate availability for clients.
New Horizon Services is a Kansas based provider of Home and Community Based Services, dedicated to empowering individuals to live meaningful, self directed lives. Their approach focuses on true community integration by supporting individuals in building relationships, participating in everyday community activities, and pursuing personal goals based on their unique strengths and preferences.
CEO Will Rains shared that the expansion reflects the organization’s continued commitment to providing meaningful, community based services that promote independence, dignity, and connection.
In addition to serving individuals and families, New Horizon Services is investing in the local workforce. The organization is currently hiring Direct Support Professionals and offers competitive wages beginning at $16.50 per hour.
