HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Kansas Government is pleased to announce that the Kansas Department of Corrections has two funding opportunities to be made aware of.
First is the FY2025 Non-Matching Funds Juvenile Crime Community Prevention Grant
- This funding opportunity is intended to support communities in providing services to youth that are at risk for juvenile delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement.
- Applications for this funding must target one of the following priority areas: Crossover Youth, Homeless Youth, Runaway Youth, or Jobs and Workforce Development for youth.
- This will be a competitive grant.

Second is the FY2025 Matching Funds Juvenile Crime Community Prevention Grant
- This funding opportunity is intended to support communities in providing services to youth that are at risk for juvenile delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement.
- Applications may target any area of juvenile crime prevention and is not limited to any specific priority area.
- This grant will require a $1-for-$1 local or private funds match
- This will be a competitive grant.

For both of the Juvenile Crime Community Prevention Grants, the deadline for applications will be April 15th at 12 am.
Applications for both of the JCPGs will be accepted from:
- Government entities (i.e., counties, groups of counties, judicial districts or groups of judicial districts)
- Community-based Agencies or Service Providers (i.e., established non-profit agencies that serve youth in Kansas or groups of established non-profit agencies that serve youth in Kansas)
