GREAT BEND, Kan. — Two Traffic stops over the weekend by Barton County Sheriff’s Deputies in Great Bend put four people in jail on drug charges.
Stop one was about 4 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of 22nd Street, where deputies became suspicious of contraband and their K9 picked up odor of drugs, which are suspected to be Methamphetamine, marijuana, and psilocybin mushrooms. The driver, Tracy Hilton of Hoisington, was booked into jail on a $10,000 bond.
About 8:30 Saturday evening deputies made another stop in the 200 block of Walnut, where the K9 deputy picked up on possible drugs, just meth in this case. From that, Jonathan Hiner, Michelle Nelson, and Heaven Wornkey of Great Bend were arrested for that and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Nelson added to her problems by trying to bring contraband into the jail, which resulted in her having a $40,000 bond. Hiner and Wornkey have $10,000 bonds from this arrest, and Wornkey also has an additional bond for a Great Bend Municipal Court Warrant.
