Former U.S. Senator Nancy Landon Kassebaum Baker has died at age 94.
Kassebaum made history in 1978 as the first woman elected to represent Kansas in the U.S. Senate. She served three terms, winning reelection with more than 70 percent of the vote in 1984 and 1990.
A private memorial service is planned.
