RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The Food Bank of Reno County and Dillons are partnering to host a community food drive on Friday, March 13, inviting residents to help stock shelves and support local families facing food insecurity.

The food drive will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dillons Marketplace, 3200 Plaza E Dr. Community members are encouraged to donate food or make a monetary contribution during the event. To amplify the impact, Dillons will match food donations up to $20,000 in value, effectively doubling support for the Food Bank of Reno County.

“We’re incredibly grateful for Dillons’ continued partnership and generosity,” said Angela Penner, Executive Director of the Food Bank of Reno County. “This food drive is a powerful opportunity for the community to come together and make an immediate difference for our neighbors.”

Volunteer Opportunity at the Food Bank

Following the food drive, volunteers are invited to assist at the Food Bank’s new facility from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., helping sort and prepare donated items for distribution. The volunteer shift provides a hands-on way for community members to see the impact of their donations and support Food Bank operations.
