McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — Four people were killed and one injured in a two vehicle head-on crash early Saturday morning on I-135 just south of the McPherson-Saline County line.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a car driven by Jacob Aich, 36, of Hutchinson was going south in the northbound lanes of the interstate about two miles south of the K-4 Bridgeport exit just before 12:30 AM Saturday when he collided head on with a northbound vehicle vehicle driven by Lydia Barton, 31, of Wichita.
Both drivers died at the scene along with two passengers in the Barton vehicle, seven-year-old Ronan Barton and 13-year-old Jesse Kinney, both of Monument, Colorado.
A passenger in the Aich vehicle, Kirkland Byers, 29, of Hutchinson, was taken to Salina Regional Health Center with reported serious injuries.
