HUTCHINSON, Kan. — StartUp Hutch will host its next Entrepreneurship Connections event on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Sandhills Brewing, featuring Heartland Credit Union and participants from StartUp Hutch’s first Avante cohort.
Heartland Credit Union sponsored the inaugural Avante program, allowing StartUp Hutch to offer the six-week startup bootcamp at no cost to participants. During Entrepreneurship Connections, representatives from Heartland Credit Union will share why the organization chose to support the program and invest in resources for early-stage entrepreneurs in Reno County.
Avante participants will also share the businesses, ideas and projects they have been developing throughout the program, along with what they have learned and how they plan to put those tools to work moving forward.
Avante was introduced this fall as a new core StartUp Hutch program designed to help early-stage entrepreneurs build stronger foundations for their businesses. Over six weeks, participants work through practical topics related to developing an idea, understanding customers, building a sustainable business model and planning next steps.

Their support has helped us give early-stage entrepreneurs more room to focus on learning, building and moving their businesses forward.”
The Nov. 10 event will give the broader entrepreneur community an opportunity to meet members of the first cohort, hear what they are building and learn more about the role community partnerships can play in helping new businesses get off to a stronger start.
Entrepreneurship Connections is StartUp Hutch’s free monthly networking event designed to bring together entrepreneurs, small business owners, community partners and others interested in Reno County’s entrepreneur community.
