RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The Greater Hutch Economic Development Partnership for Reno County within the Hutchinson/Reno County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of the new Reno County Economic Development Strategic Planning Process. This multi phase process facilitated by Aha! Strategy + Facilitation under the expertise of Amy Holloway is designed to help inform the new 5-year economic development strategy for Reno County. The firm was selected by an advisory group comprised of community leaders who will continue to engage with the process for its duration. After an extensive benchmark community analysis conducted by Aha!, community input is highly encouraged through the public survey launching Wednesday, June 4th.
From Tuesday June 17th through Thursday June 19th community participation will continue through 12 facilitated focus groups in South Hutchinson and Hutchinson locations, 2 presentations open to the public at City of Hutchinson City Council at 5:30pm Tuesday June 17th, Reno County Commission 9:45am Wednesday June 18th and 1 public forum held at Memorial Hall 5:00pm-7:00pm Wednesday June 18th. Biweekly meetings of the advisory group starting June 13th and recurring though October of 2025 will help establish a vision and priorities from data collected from this process that will shape our economy and community in the upcoming years. Greater Hutch staff and the advisory group will be making presentations throughout the county to city councils and city groups to share more about the process. If your organization would like a presentation, please contact Lauren Storm at [email protected].
The strategy is led by Greater Hutch Economic Development Partnership and the Hutchinson / Reno County Chamber of Commerce. This effort is supported with funding by the following organizations:
Hutchinson Community Foundation, City of Hutchinson, City of South Hutchinson, Reno County, Greater Hutch Economic Development, StartUp Hutch. We are energized to engage our community to work together through this process and implement the resulting resource to elevate Reno County.
