An earthquake struck southern Saline County Wednesday afternoon.
The earthquake, which the US Geological Survey said had a magnitude of 3.5, occurred around 2:15 PM and was centered just over three miles east-northeast of Assaria.
Initial reports indicate the earthquake was felt in both Lindsborg and Salina, as well as in the Galva area.
There were also reports of it being felt very lightly in the Wichita area and as far away as Yates Center, about 20 miles west of Iola.
