McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — Two people were killed in a Thursday evening crash just west of Moundridge. The McPherson County Sheriff’s Office reported emergency personnel responded at 7;48 PM to the intersection of Old Highway 81 and Arrowhead Road, where Moundridge Fire and EMS were already on the scene.
A car driven by Danny Lee Heath, 63 of Hutchinson had pulled away from a stop sign on Arrowhead and into the path of a pickup driven by Kaleb Bowen, 19, of Moundridge that was on Old 81.
A passenger in Heath’s vehicle, Mariah Lyddane, 30, of Hutchinson was pronounced dead at the scene. Heath was taken to a Wichita hospital where he died early this morning. Bowen was taken by private vehicle to an area hospital for evaluation and was released. The accident remains under investigation.
