SHARE NOW

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cosmosphere is providing another important update regarding its Artemis II Launch Watch Party after NASA announced a further delay to the Artemis II mission due to a helium flow issue identified during ongoing testing. As a result, the mission will now launch no earlier than April 1, 2026.

In response to this change, the Cosmosphere’s Artemis II Launch Watch Party will once again be rescheduled to align with NASA’s officially confirmed launch date and time once it is finalized.

Artemis II will be the first crewed mission of NASA’s Artemis program, sending four astronauts on a journey around the Moon and marking humanity’s return to deep space for the first time in more than 50 years. While delays are never easy, they reflect NASA’s commitment to safety, precision, and mission success.

The Cosmosphere remains committed to hosting a memorable community celebration when Artemis II lifts off. The Launch Watch Party will bring guests together to witness this historic milestone and share in the excitement of America’s next chapter in lunar exploration.

VIP tickets remain sold out. Guests who would like to join the VIP waitlist may email [email protected] for availability updates and additional information.

As always with spaceflight, schedules remain subject to change due to mission readiness, technical considerations, and weather. The Cosmosphere will continue to monitor updates closely and share new details as soon as they become available.

The Cosmosphere looks forward to welcoming the community to celebrate Artemis II together when the countdown resumes.
