Cosmosphere Announces New Additions to Executive Leadership Team

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Cosmosphere has announced new additions to the executive leadership team that will guide the organization as it enters its next chapter of growth and continues expanding its impact in space education, exploration and innovation.

The new additions help bring together leadership across operations, development, education, and finance, providing a strong foundation for the Cosmosphere’s continued growth and long-term success.

The currently established executive leadership team includes:

Jim Remar, President & Chief Executive Officer
Remar provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Cosmosphere.

Claire Ludes, Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer
Ludes leads development, fundraising and strategic relationships supporting the Cosmosphere’s mission and future.

The new additions to the executive leadership team include:

Benjamin Suter, Senior Vice President & Chief Operations Officer
Suter oversees the organization’s day-to-day operations and operational strategy.

Erica Shook, Vice President of Education
Shook leads the Cosmosphere’s education initiatives and STEAM programming for students, educators and families.

Kristi Arnold, Controller
Arnold oversees the Cosmosphere’s financial accounting and reporting functions.

The new leadership structure reflects the Cosmosphere’s continued evolution as an international science education center and space museum. With a world-class collection, expanded education programs and growing opportunities to engage audiences beyond Hutchinson, the organization is focused on strengthening its impact while remaining true to its mission to inspire the future through space exploration. The executive team will work collaboratively across departments to advance the Cosmosphere’s strategic priorities, strengthen organizational operations, expand educational opportunities and build new relationships and resources to support the institution’s future.
