McPHERSON, Kan. (June 20th, 2025) — The City of McPherson will be installing a new phone system over a two-day period Tuesday and Wednesday, June 24 & 25, 2025. During this time, City facilities are expecting intermittent outages as the phones are installed across all departments.
Those who can’t get through are encouraged to try back as outages should not last long for each facility/department.
The changeover WILL NOT INTERRUPT 911 emergency services.
The following locations will be affected at some point in the process:
- Fire Department, Station 1 (non-emergency lines)
- Fire Department, Station 2 (non-emergency lines)
- Police Department (non-emergency lines)
- Municipal Center
- Animal Shelter
- Park Department
- Community Building/Municipal Court
- Street Department
- Convention & Visitors Bureau/McPherson Museum
- Cemetery
- Turkey Creek Golf Course
- Wastewater Treatment Facility.
