By Reno County Kansas Government

RENO COUNTY, Kan. Reno County seeks to ensure safe and healthy childcare facilities in Reno and Harvey Counties. The county assists providers with education, resources and referral, code compliance and regulation navigation. Reno County works with partners and local stakeholders to increase childcare facilities while bolstering the quality of care in our communities.

Reno County receives a grant from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. This grant helps safeguard children from harm by:

  • establishing and enforcing the requirements for the operation of childcare facilities
  • increasing the state-wide availability of regulated facilities that meet or exceed standards
  • reducing predictable health and safety risks to children in childcare
  • providing consumer protection for children and families
  • providing public awareness of the need for quality childcare
  • conducting timely and accurate inspections.

Updates to the county’s page can occur frequently so they encourage you to check back in.
