Charges have been filed against the parents of two children shot March 28th in rural Ellsworth County when a young child located a loaded, unsecured shotgun and discharged it.
Aaron French and Makayla French, both of Brookville, have been charged with four counts of aggravated child endangerment.
Court documents indicate two of the charges involve the children shot and the other two involved other children present at the time of the incident at residence near K-141 and Avenue N, about two miles north of the north end of Kanopolis Dam.
A five year old girl was pronounced dead at the scene, and an eight year old boy died April 3rd at a Wichita hospital.
Both parents have been summoned to make court appearances July 28th in Ellsworth County District Court.
