Two beloved central Kansas school staffers have passed away.

Prairie Hills Middle School science teacher Victor Wilkinson died Wednesday evening after suffering a massive heart attack. Buhler USD Superintendent Cindy Couchman said in a statement Mr. Wilkinson was more than just an Educator, as he was a passionate advocate for student engagement, through his founding of the PHMS Bee Club and Archery Club.

Councilman added his presence, energy, and dedication will be deeply missed by students, staff, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He’s survived by his wife Angela, a second grade teacher at Plum Creek Elementary School, and two children, Brecken and Garrett.

Counselors are being made available to support students and staff Monday, June 7th from 10 AM until Noon at PHMS. Parents who feel their child may need additional support can contact the USD 313 District Office at 620-543-2258, and they will connect you with a counselor.

Service arrangements for Victor Wilkinson are pending.

McPherson Middle School Counselor Kim Krase passed Wednesday after a courageous battle with Cancer. MMS Principal Inge Esping said she was a remarkable presence in their building, a compassionate counselor, trusted colleague, and a bright light for so many students and staff members.

Esping said Krase offered wisdom, warmth, and support with unwavering strength, and her ability to connect with others left a lasting impact on the school community, leaving a legacy of kindness, humor and dedication that will remain with us always.

Parents whose children may need additional support can reach out by emailing [email protected], and she will work directly with her to coordinate a time for students to meet with a counselor.

Kim Krase’s Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 12th at 10 AM at Galva Christian Church.

Full obituaries for Krase and Wilkinson will be posted as available on the obituary page at www.adastraradio.com.
