CANTON/GALVA, Kan. — Ty Poell has been selected as the new Superintendent of Canton Galva USD 419.
Poell, who interviewed for the position Monday, was one of two finalists interviewed to succeed retiring superintendent Jim Struber.
Poell is currently a middle school language arts and social studies teacher in Onaga-Havensville-Wheaton USD 322 in Pottawatomie County, and has previously served in PreK-12th grade administrative roles.
He will begin his duties in USD 419 on July 1.
