HUTCHINSON, Kan. — At 1:41 p.m. The Hutchinson Fire Department responded to the 700 block of East B. for a reported structure fire. First arriving crews entered the structure and had a slight haze of smoke and the smell of electrical. Crews found a set of overheated breakers. No fire damage was noted.
At 4:25 p.m., the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to the 300 BLK of East Park St. for a report of a structure fire. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and fire showing from the back side of a single-story residential home. Crews extinguished the exterior fire and started an aggressive interior attack. The fire damaged one room and the attic space. There was smoke damage throughout the home.
The occupants were at home at the time of the fire and were not injured. The fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported. Three occupants were displaced.
