LYONS, Kan. — City of Lyons Crews and Emergency Management are on scene, on the North side of the square where a building, housing Yeraldi’s Boutique and County Seat Bar and grill’s upper part of the west wall (side of Yeraldi’s) caved in, impacting at least one and possibly two buildings to the west.
US 56 (Main Street) is blocked from Grand (K14) to West Avenue.
Lyons Police Department informed Ad Astra Media that all West traffic coming east will need to slow down and proceed with caution, and at the West city limits you will proceed south, approximately two miles to Avenue N and then come back to the east, up to K14 and if you need to go north, you can. Eastbound traffic will be directed similarly, also on Avenue N and K-14 and rerouted west, back up to Highway 56.
All semi truck traffic to route around the city, to the South approximately two miles.
The City of Lyons currently asks for assistance from the public to stay away from the area until more information is available.
