BUHLER, Kan. – The Buhler USD 313 Board of Education last night approved contract extensions for administrative staff including building principals and for Superintendent Cindy Couchman. All contracts were extended one year, which for Couchman extends her contract through the 2024-25 school year and for others through the 2023-24 school year.

The board as part of other personnel matters accepted the resignation of assistant director of Finance Donna Kleinschmidt effective at the end of February, along with those of Union Valley 4th grade teacher Rachel Harder and Counselor Christ Mason, and Buhler High School and Prairie Hills Middle School vocal music teacher Greg Bontrager. All resignations are effective at the end of the current school year.

The board also approved the hiring of Robin McGlynn as Food Service Director, to replace retiring director Kay Cox.

In another action, the board approved a change in meeting dates for their March and April meetings. The March meeting has been moved to March 20th due to their regular second Monday date falling during spring break. The April meeting has been moved to April 17th since the regular April 10th date is the day after Easter when no classes are scheduled in USD 313.
