Schematic design documents for bond projects at McPherson High School and McPherson Middle School are now in the hands of construction manager Simpson Construction. Duane Cash with Incite Design Services provided an update to the USD 418 Board of Education Monday, and reviewed where things stand
Cash also reviewed discussions on various parts of particularly the high school projects, which as reported earlier will involve moving the Ag Building to another part of the campus, which would be fully enclosed to a point all classroom and other facilities will be under one roof.
Jared Simpson from Simpson Construction told the Board with schematic drawings in hand, they are now putting together cost estimates on various options including materials to be used
One question being asked a lot is when construction will begin, and there isn’t a firm answer to that.
On another bond related matter, the Board approved adding an additional $10,000 to the contract with ICON Systems for summer projects at the three elementary schools.
