Barton Community College’s “Prairie Ink” Accepting Submissions Through Nov. 26

GREAT BEND Kan. — Barton Community College’s annual literary publication, “Prairie Ink,” is in its 15th edition and is currently accepting submissions.

They will be accepting submissions from Barton students, alumni and all residents of the seven counties in Barton’s service region (Barton, Pawnee, Rush, Russell, Rice, Stafford and Ellsworth). The Fort Riley, Fort Leavenworth and Grandview Plaza campuses are also encouraged to submit entries.

The intent of the publication is to give local authors and artists a venue to showcase their talents according to Editor Scott McDonald.

The types of work being considered for the publication are fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, drama, graphic short stories, biographies, photography, painting, digital art, pictures of 3D art, and sketches. Submissions will be accepted through Nov. 26. Any submissions received after that date will be considered for the following edition.
