McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — An attempted traffic stop in Moundridge Thursday led to a chase that ended in a field between Moundridge and Inman.
According to the Moundridge Police Department, Officer Wagner began a pursuit after the driver refused to stop that continued for several minutes through rural McPherson County.
The chase ended near 15th and Chisholm Road where the driver fled on foot into a nearby field that was waist deep in water. That did not stop officer Wagner, who continued the pursuit, eventually taking him into custody.
The suspect had an outstanding felony warrant from McPherson County District Court, and when arrested they also found drugs and drug paraphernalia, which will lead to other charges along with those from the case.
Inman and McPherson Police and McPherson County Sheriff’s deputies also helped out.
