Michael Hinton, a Newton native now living in Hutchinson, has been selected for this year’s class of the National Agricultural Hall of Fame. A lifelong antique tractor preservationist, Hinton is devoted to honoring America’s farming heritage and the generations who worked the land.

In 2024, he launched TalkingTractors.com, a hub for sharing stories of rural life and agricultural ingenuity. He also founded Antique Tractor Preservation Day, earning multiple state governor proclamations (2025, 2024, 2012, 2011), two U.S. Congressional Record statements, and four USPS pictorial postmarks. His work—featured on national TV, podcasts, and industry publications—goes beyond preserving machines, fostering storytelling, stewardship, and a deep connection between generations of farmers.
