McPHERSON, Kan. — Licenses are now on sale for the 2024 McPherson County All Schools Day Button Hunt, sponsored by First Bank Kansas and Peoples Bank and Trust.
Again, this year there will be two hunts, one for a medallion featuring this year’s All Schools Day Button, and a virtual hunt where hunters seek to identify a specific place in McPherson County. The Medallion is hidden on public property in McPherson County and the virtual location is also public property in McPherson County.
Hunt licenses can be purchased at Ad Astra Radio at 411 East Euclid during our business hours, and you also need an All Schools Day button which can be purchased along with the license, each of which are five dollars. Button hunt clues will be available starting Friday at www.allschoolsday.com, and also at www.adastraradio.com and on various social media.
A $250 prize will be awarded to the person who finds the medallion, and a $250 prize will be awarded to the person who first identifies the virtual location for this year’s hunt. The medallion must be found and virtual location identified by 11:59 PM Thursday, May 9th.
The medallion, donated by Stewart’s Sports and Awards, is in a clear plastic bag which also contains information on how to claim your prize. Guesses for the virtual hunt can be sent, starting Friday, to [email protected], and can also be texted to (620) 860-3224. The winner will be notified by email to the address or number from which the guess was sent.
If you have questions about either hunt, contact Button Hunt chair Lucky Kidd at (620) 241-1504 or (620) 860-3224.
