The 2025 edition of the McPherson County All Schools Day Button Hunt begins Friday. As in past years, the button hunt involves two separate hunts including a physical hunt for a medallion featuring this year’s All Schools Day Button, and a virtual hunt where participants will guess a location based on clues provided.
A five dollar button hunt license is required along with an All Schools Day button. Licenses can be purchased online at www.allschoolsday.com by clicking on the Button tab, or in person at Ad Astra Radio at 411 East Euclid in McPherson. Ad Astra Radio and numerous locations around McPherson County also have the buttons.
The winner of each hunt will receive a $250 cash prize, and it is possible for a hunter to win both. Clues will be available starting Friday on the All Schools Day website as well as on their Facebook pages and area media sites, and also will be broadcast several times daily on 98.9/1540 KMCP, 96.7 KMPK, 95.5 KLBG and 106.1 KXKU.
This year’s button hunt is sponsored by Bluestem Pace and First Bank Kansas, with the medallion donated by Stewart’s Sports and Awards. If you have questions about the hunt, contact Lucky Kidd at (620) 241-1504 or (620) 860-3224.
