STAFFORD, Kan. — Held every first Saturday of October since 1990, the City of Stafford is celebrating its annual Oktoberfest Oct. 4 – 5. The celebration is a long-standing tradition for the community of Stafford.
Events will kick off on Friday with food vendors and a beer garden set up along Main and Broadway west of the City Office, then Music Bingo will start at 7, and Thunder Creek Symphony will play at 9 p.m.
The majority of the events will be held on Saturday, as per Oktoberfest tradition, beginning at 7 a.m.
There will be an annual alumni banquet at Trojan Hall Saturday at 5:30 and community members will roam around the downtown area catching up with old friends and family they may not have seen in years. In 2022, Stafford Oktoberfest was named the Best Event in the Tri-County (Stafford, Pratt and Kiowa) Area.
