Katie Smart and Ellie Smith led the Panthers offensively, scoring two goals each, while Paola Salas added one goal to complete the five-goal performance.

Playing on a grass field, the Panthers adapted to the conditions while continuing to create scoring opportunities and apply attacking pressure throughout the match. The team demonstrated its commitment to playing positive soccer, emphasizing possession, purposeful passing, coordinated runs, and collective attacking play.

The match also provided a valuable opportunity to rotate the lineup and give playing time to players who have not featured as regularly throughout the season. Both Constanca Azevedo and Evie McKane saw action in goal, contributing to the team’s collective effort. The opportunity to involve more players allowed the squad to gain valuable experience ahead of postseason competition.

With the regular season complete, Neosho will now turn its attention to the postseason. The Panthers will travel to Johnson County Community College on Thursday, October 29, for a 5 p.m. playoff matchup. Johnson County is currently ranked No. 2 in the country, presenting a significant challenge for the Panthers.

Despite the difficult matchup ahead, Neosho enters the playoffs with confidence and believes it can deliver a competitive performance. The team will focus on staying disciplined, playing together, and remaining committed to its style of soccer as it prepares for the challenge. The Panthers look forward to the opportunity to compete against one of the top teams in the country and continue their season in the postseason.
