Annette “Anne” (Albers) Smalley, 70, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died October 15, 2026  at her home in Cheney, KS, surrounded by her husband and children.

Anne was born on November 23, 1955 in Wichita, KS, the daughter of Joe and Virginia Albers. Anne graduated from Cheney High School in 1974, and she entered the U.S. Navy in 1975 where she served 14 years. During this time she met her husband David Smalley and they were married June 9, 1984 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Mt Vernon, KS.

Anne is survived by her husband David Smalley of 42 years; children Michael (Jennifer) Smalley, Gillian (Mitchell) Myers. Grandmother of 6 grandchildren, Holden Smalley, Rhett Smalley, Adaline Myers, Carsen Smalley, Penelope Myers, and Jett Myers. Siblings Mary Jane Elpers, Robert Albers, Donald Albers, and Gina Hommertzheim. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Joe and Virgina Albers, and her brother Edward Albers.

Rosary will be on Monday, October 19, 2026 at 6:00pm and the Catholic Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, October 20 at 10:30 am, both at St. Rose Catholic Church- 4813 NE 150th Ave. Cheney, KS 67025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Harry Hines Hospice.
