Craig Alan Oney Sr.Fredonia, KS

Growing up in New York, Craig came to the Fredonia area as a young man and immediately fell in love with a girl by the name of Robbin E. Chism.  On August 6, 1976, Craig and Robbin were married and spent the next 45 years of their life together until her death on August 6, 2021.

Craig drove trucks for years, and also worked awhile for KDOT, Craig enjoyed working on engines, going “Junkin”, watching westerns, fishing and camping.  Being from New York, he loved it when it snowed, so he could go plow.  Craig loved his pets, his dog Pepper, and his fish tank.  Most importantly, he loved his family and enjoyed every minute with his grandchildren.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents, wife Robbin and a grandson Coy Oney.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Countryside Funeral Home Fredonia.  Memorials in his memory have been suggested to either the Fredonia Pound Pals or Shoes for Kids and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.  Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home 420 S. 20th St., P.O.
